Amy MacDonald wowed the crowds on Friday night as she played her hist for an appreciative Inverness audience.

Presented by LCC Live, at the city’s Northern Meeting Park, the 34-year-old singer opened her set with ‘We Could Be So Much More’ from her 2020 album The Human Demands.

The Scottish singer-songwriter captivated the buzzing crowd with both her music and quick wit.

Providing descriptions of why she wrote her songs, and encouraging young girls to get into the music profession, she was nothing short of inspirational.

“I was inspired by going to a gig when I was young and seeing people perform on stage,” she said.

“I hope to come back here in 10 years and see one of you girls perform and I’ll be in the crowd.”

Amy and her band played all the hits including This is the Life, Mr Rock and Roll and The Hudson.
