Heavy snow showers are forecast for some parts of the north-west Highlands today with warnings of treacherous conditions on some routes.

A Met Office weather warning for snow and ice runs until 10am on Wednesday and then resumes in the early hours of Thursday until 6pm on Friday.

Stagecoach Highland this morning stated: "Due to icy and snowy road conditions some services throughout the morning may be liable to experience delays and disruption. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause."
