THE hunt is on for pilots who are alleged to have risked the lives of motorists by flying two light aircraft beneath the Kessock Bridge.

Police confirmed they were investigating the incident after a member of the public reported seeing the aircraft at 1.15pm on Tuesday.

Three planes flew past the bridge, two of which peeled off before carrying out the alleged stunt. They then rejoined the third plane and all three flew off.

"Enquiries are ongoing into the matter at this time and the facts have been reported to the Civil Aviation Authority," said a police spokesman.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or may have information about the planes should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
