How Highlander Sherie Beazley adjusted her focus in life

Sherie Beazley, is a woman of many of talents. Just over 10 years ago she made the life-changing decision to switch careers, and she’s never looked back.
After getting into a photography course in Aberdeen, she made the decision to quit her job as a trainer at HSBC and pursue her dreams of capturing beauty.
Sherie said: “I went along to do the induction day for the course, and they said ‘we’ll see you Monday’ and I panicked and thought ‘this Monday?’
“I was in the car and thought, can I afford this? What about my job?
“But by the time I got back home, I decided if I didn’t do it now, I was never going to, so I went for it.”
For the next three years, Sherie would drive the long journey from Aviemore to Aberdeen, do her classes, drive back again, and then work the twilight shift at Tesco before doing it all again the next day.
“It was hard don’t get me wrong!,” she said. “All my savings went, but it was so worth it.”
After graduating, she launched her own business in 2014.
With a few bumps along the road due Covid, she has now, however, realigned herself, and she means business!
Sherie said: “I am a commercial photographer, but my main work lies in boudoir shoots, children and pets.
“I am now looking to work with hotels, and offer my boudoir shoots as part of wedding packages so brides can give their grooms something special on their wedding day.”
Sherie works together with her daughter who does the hair and make-up for clients when they are doing shoots.
She said: “I think that boudoir has to be something you can show your family and it should be classy. It’s something special.”
