Raigmore Hospital Ward 7A in Inverness has reopened after being closed to admissions and essential visitors due to an outbreak of norovirus

Raigmore Hospital's Ward 7A has reopened, it has been confirmed.

It was closed to new admissions and essential visitors following the detection of a "small number" of norovirus cases last month.

A spokeswoman for the health board said the ward reopened last week after it had been clear of the bug for 48 hours and a deep clean had been carried out.
