Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation has donated £1750 to Highland Hospice as part of its support for charities across the UK.

The charity received the donation after being nominated by colleagues at the society’s Inverness branch for financial support for a new Sunflower Care at Home initiative.

Leeann Keenan, manager of Yorkshire Building Society in Inverness, said: “We are delighted to be able to support Highland Hospice in our community in Inverness with a donation from Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation. The work that they are doing is providing a real benefit in our community and they’ve been great to work with.”

Hospice corporate fundraiser Karen Duff said: “Thank you so much to Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation for their kind donation of £1750 which will greatly help our new Sunflower Care at Home initiative.

“We are passionate about extending our care throughout the Highland communities, and being able to support people living in rural areas in their own homes.

“This donation will boost our delivery of this care, which is an important part of our overall strategy.”
