Homes in Inverness and surrounding areas hit by Highlands and Islands-wide power cuts

A large number of Inverness homes were caught up in power outages this morning and early afternoon.

Electricity was down for up to two hours in 48 IV2 postcode areas.

There were also reports of problems in Ross-shire, Caithness, Lochaber, the Western Isles and Aberdeenshire.
