Engineers are dealing with a power cut in Inverness.

Residents and businesses are reporting potential disruption due to a power cut in Inverness.

Popular café XOKO stated: "Due to no electricity at XOKO there may be delays or indeed no products available, including hot drinks at 7am. If no power returns we will remain closed and give an update as to when we can reopen."

It added: "Update from SSE: Power hopefully to be restored by 6.30am. We will try to reopen as soon as we can."

Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks stated the "unplanned outage" was reported at 3.29am today and that there is are engineers on site.

It is understood it is impacting some properties in the IV1, IV2 and IV3 areas of the city.

An update on the SSEN website states it is aiming to restore power by 6pm today.
