Winds of up to 80mph have been predicted in the Highlands on Friday as Storm Otto is set to bring disruption to much of Scotland.
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning covering the whole of the Highlands and central Scotland, along with all islands except northern Shetland.
It says a spell of very strong winds across Scotland may bring some disruption during Friday.
The warning covers 3am to 3pm, with gusts of 60-70 mph likely, and possibly as high as 80 mph for exposed coasts and hills, particularly for the far north and north-east of mainland Scotland and Orkney.
The strongest winds are expected during the morning, easing from the west during the afternoon.
