The Highland Spotlight business event is going online this year.

One of the most popular events on the Highland business calendar is refusing to be beaten by the Covid-19 crisis.

The annual Highland Spotlight business-to-business exhibition is one of the highlights of Highland Business Week, which is organised by Inverness Chamber of Commerce.

It usually attracts hundreds of visitors to the Kingsmills Hotel in Inverness to see a range of the goods and
services available across the region.

Anti-coronavirus measures mean that Highland Spotlight will be unable to return in its usual face-to-face format on September 22, so will be held from 10am to 3pm online instead.

Inverness Chamber of Commerce’s deputy chief executive and head of events Paula Nicol said: “We are really pleased that we are going to be able to do this.

“We have spoken to our members and there was a definite sense of businesses wanting Highland Spotlight to move online.”

The virtual version of Highland Spotlight has been made possible through the use of a software platform that has been specially designed for exhibitions.

A number of seminars will also be held and, while details are still being finalised, Eden Court chief executive James Mackenzie-Blackman has already been lined up to take part.

Details on how to register as an exhibitor or visitor can be found on the Inverness chamber website at www.inverness-chamber.co.uk
