POLICE say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a Highland man whose body has now been formally identified.

Shaun Banner (34) was reported missing from the Invergordon area of Easter Ross on Saturday, April 23.

The determined search after his disappearance included posters in Inverness city centre put up in a bid to jog the memories of people who might have seen him.

A body was found on Shore Road West, Invergordon, on Tuesday, June 14 and Shaun's family informed of the development at that time.

Well-wishers who have shown support to the family over the past 10 weeks yesterday heard from Shaun's loved ones that the body had been formally identified as the local husband and father.
