HIGHLANDERS keen to help find an Easter Ross man posted missing almost exactly one year ago are being invited to share posters as the anniversary of his disappearance approaches.

Finn Creaney (33) was last seen around 2.15pm on Friday, March 25 last year at Altnaharra in Sutherland near Loch Naver.

Publicity surrounding his disappearance is set to be stepped up dramatically as the first anniversary of him being posted missing approaches.

As reported earlier this week, a Channel 5 series fronted by Dan Walker is set to include a feature on Finn, from the Tain area of Easter Ross.

Vanished: The Hunt for Britain's Missing People starts on March 30 and is expected to feature an interview with Finn's wife, Lucy.

Posters have been produced on a regular basis to keep Finn in the public eye.

"We are making packs of posters to distribute everywhere. The packs consist of 10 laminated posters to put in your window, shops , car windows, anywhere you can think. It could be what ends this nightmare and gets Finn home!"

They are currently available at Tain Post Office and people are asked to "just ask at the counter".

It added: "Do you have a shop front or somewhere we can put a laminated poster up? Or Somewhere we can store the packs to help us distribute? It's important everyone knows Finn is still missing."

Finn, an experienced bushcraft enthusiast said by his wife to be the happiest he has ever been at the time of his disappearance, was posted missing on March 28 after failing to turn up from a planned hike.

A search of the rugged area has been maintained with funding support from a JustGiving page and his dad, Mark, has given regular video updates to help keep his son in people's minds.

Searchers are flagging two points of contact for any information– Police Scotland 101 citing reference 0912 of March 28 or via the Search for Finn Creaney Facebook page.

Finn is described as 5ft 11in tall, of slim build, with light complexion and freckles on his arms and nose.

He has long brown hair down to his lower back and a full brown/ginger beard.

When last seen, he was wearing a long brown leather jacket slightly aged and described as a replica of Aragorn's outfit from Lord of the Rings.

He also has a green tweed/felt poncho and green Berghaus rucksack with him. He was wearing brown walking boots that go to above the ankle.
