A luxury Highland hotel has picked up not just one, but two trophies at the Scottish Hotel Awards.

Macdonald Aviemore Resort has been crowned Scotland’s best four-star hotel in the North and was highly recommended in the best-friendly family hotel category at the annual awards ceremony.

Kenny McMillan, Macdonald Aviemore Resort’s managing director, said: “We are delighted to have received the two accolades at the Scottish Hotel Awards. It’s a great recognition for our team who work hard to provide the best experience for all our customers.

“We are all passionate about what we do and ensuring guests want to come back time and time again. We are always looking to elevate the experience we provide and are proud to be able to offer the best of accommodation, food and activities in such a breathtaking part of the world. We hope there will be more recognition for our team to come as we keep raising our standards.”

Macdonald Aviemore Resort is a collection of four hotels, 19 luxury woodland lodges, a conference centre, the Macdonald Spey Valley Championship Golf Course and luxury shopping.

In recent years, a new clubhouse has been built for the Spey Valley golf course while the popular Giovanni’s Italian Ristorante has been refurbished to sit alongside the resort’s signature restaurant, Aspects.
