An Inverness financial planning firm is expanding with the appointment of a new director.
Jill Paton-Mackenzie, who was born and bred in Inverness, has joined 57 North Financial Planning, which is based at the Green House in the city.
A Robert Gordon University graduate in management with a BA Honours degree, Jill left a national IFA business as a client delivery manager to take up the post where she will advise clients on retirement and investment/pension planning as well as inheritance tax planning.
Jill says: “Having members of my family involved in the financial planning profession has meant that it is something that has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started gaining direct experience when I was seventeen and from there, I knew it was the career I wanted to follow for myself.
"While at university I was determined to continue working within the family business and this was mainly within the operations and finance side of the business as this could be done remotely, I could therefore continue to gain experience whilst still studying. "Latterly, I was a client delivery manager and whilst I gained a lot of experience from this job, I am now extremely proud and excited to work again for a local firm that has a strong sense of community not only in Inverness but the wider Highlands, Islands and Moray area.
"Having obtained my qualifications and with my regulatory applications pending with the relevant bodies within the profession, I am now focused on combining the qualifications and experience I have gained over the last ten years to assist the team and help grow 57 North Financial Planning as a financial planner and director."
