Highland emergency services called to a fire on Benula Road, Merkinch in Inverness earlier this morning

Emergency Services were called to a fire in Inverness earlier this morning.

Police, Ambulance and Fire Services were called to the fire around 7.20am this morning.

It is understood the fire was extinguished, and no one was injured in the incident.

A fire spokeswoman said: "We were called to a fire on Benula Road earlier this morning. It was a call to a fire inside the property.

"Three fire appliances were in attendance, but the stop sign came in shortly after crews arrived on the scene.

"Officers vented the living room."
