Highland Council holds 'budget launch' event

HIGHLAND Council will reveal its budget plans this morning.

In an unusual move, it is to hold a "budget launch" event more than a week before proposals are due to be debated by councillors.

Highland Council gave a “very cautious” response to the Scottish Government’s budget earlier this month.

Proposals are to be discussed at a council meeting on March 5.
