It’s almost that time of year again as the Highland Business Women Awards are making a return.

Sponsored by Safekab, the annual ceremony is an opportunity to celebrate females who are excelling in their sectors and making a difference in their community and local economy.

With nine awards up for grabs, there is certainly something for everyone who wants to take part.

Emma Glass, president of Highland Business Women is looking forward to this year’s event. She said: “I can’t quite believe we are here again and ready to launch the Highland Business Women Awards for 2024!

“This is my second year as president of this fantastic organisation and a role like this is a privilege that is not lost on me. Here in the Highlands, we are incredibly lucky to be surrounded by some incredible and inspirational women who are both intrapreneurs and entrepreneurs and excelling in their fields.

“We’ve taken on lots of feedback and as a board we are excited to launch two new categories this year: Individual Team Contributor Excellence Award and the Highland Sustainable Enterprise Award.

“But don’t worry, as lots of our most popular categories remain including Woman of Inspiration which is always a favourite on the night when the winner realises just how extraordinary she is and how much she has indeed influenced and inspired others.

“Organisations like HBW are so important in providing a supportive network of like-minded women; our members need a voice, and we are passionate about delivering that for them. We can’t wait to reward and recognise all our finalists and winners on the evening of Thursday, August 22 at the Drumossie Hotel, and we hope to see you there!”

Gavin Johnston, co-founder of Safekab added: “We are proud to be once again the sponsors of The Highland Business Women Awards as we believe it to be one of the most important events for the Highlands in the calendar year.

“It gives women a voice and a space where they can showcase their work, achievements and experiences. It is highly inspirational to watch established and emerging talents get the recognition they deserve, and we believe that is also a great motivator for other women to follow their dreams.”
