High demand is expected as tickets for the highly-anticipated charity dance competition, Strictly Inverness, go on sale tomorrow at 10am.

Sixteen couples have been training hard since January, as well as fundraising for the two benefiting charities, Highland Hospice and Inverness Ice Centre.

They will reveal their moves on the dance floor in May.

The week of shows kicks off with a family-friendly launch night on Wednesday May 8 when local dance schools will showcase their talents.

On Thursday May 9, eight couples will compete, performing two individual dances as well as a Team Thursday group dance in front of a panel of expert judges and a packed audience in Inverness Ice Centre.

The remaining eight couples will repeat this process on Friday May 10 with the top four couples from each night going through to the final on Saturday May 11 which will be judged by BBC Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice.

Highland Hospice fundraiser Carrie Macdonald said, “I’d urge everyone to get their tickets quickly this year, as we know demand is going to be high.

Strictly Inverness is such a great night out – whether you know one of the dancers, fancy an incredible night out or are a fan of the gorgeous Giovanni, you won’t be disappointed!”

Limited tickets for the Thursday, Friday and Saturday night shows are available for purchase through the hotline on 07745 736631 whereas Wednesday night tickets can be purchased at HighlandHospice.org/shop.
