A new webinar series from Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) will help north businesses connect with potential customers in the health and care sector.

Business to Healthcare (B2Hc) is designed to support small businesses, social enterprises and charities and help them engage with key decision makers in the NHS and wider health and care sector.

The B2Hc introductory webinar will be held at 2pm on Thursday, May 27, to allow organisations to find out more about the programme.

Taking part will be Cornelius Glismann, chief executive at Corporate Health International (CHI), who talk about the support his business has received from the B2Hc programme in testing their innovative video camera capsule which is used in the diagnosis of bowel cancer.

Hagen Wenzek from Corporate Health International, said: “It isn’t an exaggeration to say the collaborative support we’ve had has been outstanding. Coupled with the willingness of NHS Highland to embrace innovation, this has been fundamentally important to our success.”

The B2Hc programme will also help businesses, social enterprises and charities based in the Highland Council region identify potential funding streams and ways to scale up a product.

One to one support will be delivered by Digital Healthsense.

Its chief executive, Adrian Smith, said: “We are delighted to work with HIE to help companies navigate the NHS and health and care landscape across the UK. We make our insights, experience and contacts available so that companies can access the right networks for them.”

The webinar will offer an introduction to the programme, the chance to find out more about further one-to-one tailored support, speak to the coaches and ask questions.
