Highland Hospice had a special visit from a TV personality to one of its charity shops.

Helen Gardiner, from STV’s Dickinson's Real Deal, met the charity's retail managers to test their knowledge.

A spokesman said: "Helen brought some of her own antiques to test the managers’ knowledge, awarding Sheila from our Dornoch shop a jeweller's loupe for her efforts."

Sheila enjoyed the session and said: “We now have the tools we need to be more vigilant in keeping an eye out for antiques.”

Helen gave them some advice and said: “If it looks old it probably is.”

The managers are now looking forward to seeing what treasures might cross their shop doors in the future.
