Heavy snow causes delays on Inverness-Perth rail line

HEAVY snow was causing delays of up to 45 minutes on services heading in and out of Inverness this morning.

Although it has been raining in the Highland Capital, heavy snow has been falling on higher ground - impacting on services heading through the Cairngorms.

"Train services running to and from tInverness and Perth may be delayed or revised," said a Scotrail spokesman.

"Disruption is expected until 12.30pm. We apologise for the delay to journeys today."
