Communities across Nairnshire will have the chance to have their say on developing a local place plan with a series of drop-in events.

The plan steering group and Nairn Improvement Community Enterprise (NICE) have announced a series of dates for community engagement.

The aim is to give a platform to people and groups to help shape the plan, which is set to guide future planning and land use.

Mandy Lawson, NICE secretary, said: “NICE and local community partners are looking forward to hearing from local people on their priorities for use of land and buildings in Nairnshire.

“All the information gathered will feed into the development of Nairnshire’s first community led Local Place Plan.

“Anyone who lives or works in the wider Nairn area is welcome to drop in anytime for a cuppa and chat or can also share their views online.”

The local plan for Nairn, once completed, will be included in the upcoming Inner Moray Firth local development plan.
