An Inverness hair salon has donated thousands of pairs of protective gloves to frontline NHS staff during the coronavirus outbreak.

The Head Gardener, which is in Church Street, was approached by an NHS nurse – and the business was happy to help.

In a Facebook post they said: "When an NHS nurse used her initiative asking us here at Head Gardener for PPE (personal protective equipment) we leapt into action and today are delighted to donate 3000 pairs of gloves to help those on the front line."
