The GrowBiz Mentoring Programme has been reaccredited with the Quality Standard Award by the Scottish Mentoring Network (SMN)

The accreditation, which the programme has held since 2018, is a benchmark for organisations providing mentoring, independently assessing whether they are operating according to best practice. The GrowBiz Mentoring Programme remains the only business mentoring programme to have achieved this SMN Quality Standard.

Clair Smith, the GrowBiz Mentoring Manager, is herself an award-winning mentor recognised by the SMN and was also awarded Mentor of the Year at the Business Women Scotland/Women’s Enterprise Scotland Awards 2017.

Clair says: “We’re incredibly proud that the fantastic work of our team and volunteer mentors has been recognised with a reaccreditation from SMN.

“Everyone involved in the programme delivers a high level of support with lasting results for the self-employed and small business owners. We are looking forward to helping many more mentees in the future.”

The programme is currently recruiting new mentors; find out how you can get involved here.

The GrowBiz Mentoring Programme uses volunteer mentors to help self-employed business owners to reach their full potential, building confidence, resilience and sustainability. Mentors receive high-value training and ongoing support, and they have the opportunity to challenge themselves and practise communication skills, while giving back to the rural economic community.
