A Nairn Royal Mail worker is proof that a little generosity goes a long way.

Last month, 44-year-old Graeme Paton treated his parents to a Love2shop gift card for their golden 50th wedding anniversary via gifting website www.highstreetvouchers.com .

As part of Love2shop’s ‘Big Thank You’ summer campaign, every customer is automatically entered into a weekly prize draw to win £1000 of Love2shop products and Mr Paton was the lucky winner.

Mr Paton, who works in administration for the Royal Mail in the Highlands, said: “It came as a complete surprise that I had won. I was buying the gift card anyway for my mum and dad’s big golden anniversary, not realising I was going to get a Big Thank You for doing so."

He added: “It’s fantastic to get a windfall of £1000 in Love2shop gift cards. "I’m about to move houses and now I’ve £1000 to spend on kitting out my new place.

"The great thing is that I can spend the vouchers on literally anything – from electrics to DIY items too. It’s going to be fun spending them.”

Over the summer, Love2shop is automatically entering every customer who makes a purchase at their gifting website highstreetvouchers.com into a weekly prize draw to win £1000 in Love2shop products.

It’s all part of Love2shop’s ‘Big Thank You’ campaign to get the UK saying thanks to those who deserve a ‘big thank you’ - loved ones, workmates, friends, neighbours, employees, and everyday heroes.

Katherine Scott, director of marketing at Love2shop said: “We are thrilled Graeme has won this special windfall.

"The ‘Big Thank You’ is all about getting the UK saying thanks and on a BIG scale. Perhaps you’ve a friend or neighbour who has gone above and beyond for you, or a legend of a colleague who makes a hard day that bit easier.

“Whatever the case, the power of saying thanks can really make someone’s day and the joy of a gift card means the deserving recipient can spend it on something really special just for themselves.”
