A team from the Care Inspectorate carried out an inspection in January when service users who were interviewed gave the service a glowing report.

The inspectorate’s report stated: “Everyone told us they were very happy with the service they received and that they felt safer, knowing the service was there for them.

“They all found the staff to be good, describing them as kind, cheery and happy at their work.”

The report found that professional’s feedback was very positive about the service, with all the staff being commended for their skills and knowledge.

Managers and leaders were also commended on their support and enablement approach.

A six-point scale was used to evaluate quality, with marks from one for “unsatisfactory” to six representing “excellent”.

The service received a rating of five which represents “very good” for supporting people’s wellbeing.

It also received the same rating for the care and support that it provided during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The report stated: “People experienced warmth, kindness, and compassion in how they were supported and cared for.”

It added: “The service was very good at ensuring people had time to build up relationships with their carers.

“People told us their carers always came in with a smile, which was very welcoming.

“One person said this really cheered them up, even when they were having a bad day.”
