Coffee and home baking served by members of the Girls' Brigade helped to raise funds for a Highland mental health charity.

The Inverness Riverside Girls’ Brigade raised £751.50 for Mikeysline whose work has involved building stronger connections with youth groups and improving mental health services in schools.

The coffee evening, held at Ness Bank Church in Inverness, included stalls, baking, a quiz and a raffle.

The girls and leaders welcomed families, friends and members of the congregations of Ness Bank and Trinity Churches and Inverness Christian Fellowship to the event.

They later presented the amount raised to Katie Melville, the Mikeysline fundraising manager.

The Riverside Girls' Brigade company, which meets weekly at Trinity Church, is a merger of the companies which pre-pandemic met at Ness Bank and Trinity Churches.

It chose to do the fundraiser for Mikeysline as many of the girls were aware of its work from school visits the charity has made.
