Inverness Leisure Centre is to host an Open Day giving people the chance to try out facilities for free.

The Open Day will be held on Sunday giving both highlife members and non-members an opportunity to try out the centre's range of equipment, facilities, and group fitness classes.

There will also be a preview of the centre’s brand new Les Mills Virtual experience.

Mike Rae, High Life Highland’s acting leisure manager at Inverness Leisure, explained: “Gym inductions will be on offer in our various gyms. There will also be opportunities to have a swim in our leisure waters throughout the day.

“The programme will also include a special range of children’s activities such as trampolining, boccia, and our inflatable fun sessions.

He added: “I encourage everyone to have a look at the Open Day programme online on High Life Highland’s website to find out more and also to book your place.

“For people keen to sign up to particular activities on the programme, I highly recommend booking in advance, as it’s sure to be a busy day and it will run on a first-come first-served basis, particularly for the complimentary swim passes – but we will strive to accommodate walk-ins where there are any spaces available.

“We are very much looking forward to welcoming people to Inverness Leisure to find out about what we offer, learn the benefits of our highlife membership and, most importantly, have fun!”

Steve Walsh, High Life Highland chief executive, said: “Ensuring that affordable access to leisure and gym facilities is available to communities throughout the Highlands is key for High Life Highland. As a charity, we aim to support the wellbeing of our customers and members, particularly during this time where everyone is seeing increased pressures on their personal finances.

“Our highlife membership offers affordable access to a whole range of facilities, not only at Inverness Leisure but across the Highlands, so do come along to the Inverness Leisure Open Day to get a taste of what the team at HLH has on offer to you – the invitation is open to everyone.”
