Christmas miracle ensures children receive presents

Ms Cuddy said: “It is heart warming to see the difference the Order of St John Giving Tree makes to the lives of local families at Christmas.”

“I have been at the centre for 18 Christmases now and it still amazes me how generous people are with the amount of presents they donate year on year.

“There are a lot of young people who save up and donate and there are families who used to come with their parents who now continue the tradition with their children.

“Eastgate customers respond very generously to all community and charitable events at the centre and I would like to thank them for taking time out of the busy festive period to show their support to those less fortunate.”
