THE work of Inverness-based Gaelic football organisation FC Sonas was recently highlighted as a case study by Education Scotland for community development good practice during the pandemic.

Calum Ferguson and Donnie Forbes, both Inverness, who have Gaelic medium education, formed the club in 2020, with the aim of encouraging the language, developing pathways within football for Gaels, as well as supporting health and wellbeing within the Gaelic speaking community.

Mr Ferguson said: “We are very grateful to the Highland Council for supporting our work throughout the pandemic and were delighted to be highlighted as a case study by Education Scotland.”

Its work will be shared at an Education Scotland event on November 2.
