A plea by police in Inverness for help reuniting a lost dog with her owner has been successful.

Officers at Burnett Road police station had put out an appeal earlier on Saturday afternoon through social media after finding the “staffy type dog”.

And in an update they shared the good news that the dog, whose name is Beka, is now safely home with her family.

A police spokesperson said: “Thank you to everyone who shared our post looking for the owners of Beka, we are delighted to confirm she is home safe.”
