A creative youngster is delighted that his drawing was chosen to be the front page of our Scottish Cup final supplement.

Jacob Young-Smith, a P4 pupil at Balloch Primary, was proud of his winning depiction of the cup, with the colours of finalists Caley Thistle and Celtic also featured in the design.

“I decided to draw the picture and have both of the Celtic and Caley colours in it – green and white for Celtic and red and blue for Caley," said the nine-year-old.

The youngster, who is goalie for Clachnacuddin Under-10s, added: “I am rooting for Caley to win – I predict 2-1!

"My message to the team is do your best and bring home the win!"
