Flood damage has necessitated a major clear-up ansd safety operation by the shores of Loch Ness between Drumnadrochit and Invermoriston

The A82 has re-opened between Inverness and Drumnadrochit after closure yesterday and overnight amid flood damage.

But the Loch Ness-side trunk road remains blocked between Drumnadrochit and Invermoriston after landslips at Allt Sigh.

Roads maintenance firm BEAR Scotland confirmed the route north of Drumnadrochit had been cleared.

Teams are still working to clear debris and ensure the route is safe between Invermoriston and Drumnadrochit.
