The first pictures of the new Bad Girl Bakery outlet in the revamped Victorian Market in Inverness have emerged on social media.

In February, the Multi-award-winning bakery from Muir of Ord was announced as the first tenant for the new Market Hall development.

Commenting on the twin posts, the bakery wrote: “So this happened over the weekend! #gettingthere #newshop #expanding.”

Earlier another post revealed: “Things are starting to come together at the Victorian Market. Logo.”

The quirky and innovative bakery owners say they are delighted to be part of such an exciting development in Inverness, particularly during the company’s expansion.

Earlier, Jo Murray, Victorian Market manager, said: “We have been in discussion with Douglas and Jeni of Bad Girl Bakery Ltd since the early conception of the hall development and am delighted that they see the value and potential of this new food and drink destination.”

She added: “It is very encouraging that they are keen to expand and invest within Inverness city centre with their well-established and already popular business.”

Douglas Hardie, of Bad Girl Bakery Ltd, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be the anchor tenants in the amazing new Victorian Market development as part of our expansion in 2022."
