Housebuilder Robertson Homes will build 114 new homes in south west Inverness after completing the acquisition of a ten-acre site in Torvean.

Construction of the three, four, five and six-bedroom homes on the site overlooking Kings Golf Course, in Golf View Road, is set to start later this month after the planning application was unanimously approved by the Highland Council planning committee.

Robertson Homes will contribute more than £650,000 towards sports, transport, education and road infrastructure, including the West Link Road, in the Highland Council area as part of the development agreement.

Jacqui McPherson, sales manager at Robertson Homes, said: "Robertson Homes has an excellent, long-standing reputation in Inverness following a number of developments including the sensitive refurbishment of Great Glen Hall in Westercraigs, and our award-winning development of family and starter homes at nearby Great Glen Gardens which recently sold out.

“The new Torvean development is perfectly located in this popular part of the city, ideal for commuters while offering outstanding views and easy access to the Great Glen Way, Caledonian Canal and the River Ness, for those who want to experience a more relaxing way of life.”

The first phase of homes at Torvean are expected to be released for sale this summer.
