Firefighters from Inverness and Dingwall tackle fire at pub in Union Street in Inverness

Firefighters were called out to tackle a fire in a building in an Inverness city centre street earlier today.

The incident is believed to have happened in the cellar at MacCallums pub in Union Street.

Two fire appliance from Inverness and a third from Dingwall attended the scene after the alarm was raised just before 9.30am.

The stop message came in at 10.13am.

There are no details of any casualties or the extent of the damage.

Police officers were also at the scene to help with traffic management.
