Scottish Fire and Rescue Service survey reveals claims of bullying

RESULTS of a staff survey have sparked fears of a bullying problem in a second Highland public service.

A questionnaire by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) suggests a significant number of whole time crew members in the Highlands and Islands feel bullied or harassed at work.

It comes after hundreds of similar complaints about bullying within NHS Highland led to the mounting of a QC-led investigation which is set to report shortly after Easter.

Scotland’s deputy assistant chief fire officer, David Farries, has promised the findings will be investigated.
