Police took a vulnerable woman back to her home after a report expressing concern for her welfare.

But officers had to return that same evening to Rowan Grove, in Smithton, as 26-year-old hospitality worker Dominika Szostek had a row with her partner.

Szostek admitted acting in a threatening or abusive manner and struggling with her partner, seizing him by the clothing and causing scratches to his body on December 30 last year.

Defence solicitor Rory Gowans told Inverness Sheriff Court: "She was in a very dark place at the time as the relationship of four years was coming to an end.

"But she is medicated now and is in a much better place."

Szostek was fined £245.
