Weather conditions in London caused the cancellation of flights between Inverness and Heathrow today.

The service from Heathrow to Inverness – operated by British Airways – due to arrive at 11.35am today was cancelled – with a knock-on effect to the Inverness-Heathrow flight scheduled for 12.20pm.

This is due to the fog which this morning prompted air traffic control in London to reduce the number of flights allowed to depart and land.

Services to and from Gatwick and Luton are however expected to be running according to schedule.

A British Airways spokesperson said they contacted customers affected to apologise for the inconvenience and rebooking them on the next available flight.
