CalMac cancels further sailings of the Ullapool-Stornoway service over continuing engine issues with the MV Loch Seaforth ferry

FURTHER CalMac ferry cancellations have been confirmed this morning after engine issues on the MV Loch Seaforth which sparked cancellations of evening and overnight freight sailings between Ullapool and Stornoway continued into Tuesday.

In a fresh update posted just before 7am, CalMac confirmed that the 7am and 2pm Stornoway to Ullapool sailings, and the 10.30am Ullapool to Stornoway departure were all being cancelled.

CalMac also said a review would be carried out at 2pm regarding the 5.30pm Ullapool departure.

Ferry chiefs were also warning that "limited capacity" is available on the alternative route via Uig-Tarbert.
