1 Go wild in the country

Bushcraft Basics at Logie Steading, Dunphail, on Saturday, March 25 from 10am-12.30pm and with three more events over the coming months if you can't make this one. Under 12s will go free if they are accompanied by an adult (ticket £20). You get to learn the basics of bushcraft and have fun in nature. Learn how to track animals, forage for food (though bring a snack) and build a shelter. The perfect outdoor experience for the whole family, says organiser Will Hall Wildlife.

2 Yes, there's a yak in class ...

Lunana: Yak In The Classroom (PG) is the film that won the Inverness Film Festival audience award last November at Eden Court. A young teacher from Bhutan dreams of moving to Australia to follow his dream of becoming a singer, but he is posted instead to a very remote region of Bhutan. But though the journey there is tough, when he arrives he starts to find it will be an experience that changes his life. In Dzongkha with subtitles. The film is on from Friday, March 24 to Thursday, March 30, screenings at various times.

3 Starlight, starbright

March Star Stories at Abriachan Forest Classroom on Saturday, March 25 from 8-10pm. Under16s free with an adult. Stargazing and storytelling by Highland Astronomy and Abriachan Forest Trust. Maarten De Vries is the guest astronomer with a talk titled Comets – Ancient Icy Visitors From The Edge Of Our Solar System. Maarten had his first experience with comets when he was 11 years old and has been an ardent observer of the night sky ever since. Also, Alis Ballance the guest Celtic storyteller for the evening, will share tales over the campfire. Plus there will be outdoor naked-eye stargazing with astronomer Stephen Mackintosh, if conditions are favourable. Due to site and classroom capacity, booking via Eventbrite is essential. 4 Bouncy, bouncy ...

At Infinity Trampoline Park, Carsegate, Inverness, choose between loads of different activities – such as Infinity Wazs for two teams. Minimum age eight. Every Sunday night the trampoline park is transformed into a Nerf Combat Zone. Two teams battle it out to claim victory in war games such as Capture The Payload.Want a battle with just your squad? Ask. Then there is Mini Bouncers for toddlers, one to fives who will get to explore the whole area without bigger bouncers arund in daytime sessions, various times. 5 Catch up up with the cuddly cuties

Wild Escape Family Trail, at Inverness Museum, for all ages from Tuesday, March 28 until June 24. It's a free family fun trail hidden across the museum, finding hidden furry and feathered creatures (not real ones!). All ages. It ties in with the national Wild Escape event coming to the museum on April 22. INFO:

6 It's just your imagination ...

Dreambuilders (U) is a family film on Sunday, March 26 only at 11am that is good for younger ones. From the team behind Big Hero 6 and Sherlock Holmes, this animation explores the world behind dreams in which the dreambuilders create our imaginations. Just one screening at Vue Cinema Inverness.
