Family of missing Highland man (64) very concerned for his welfare, say police, as details issued in public appeal

POLICE are appealing for information to help trace a man posted missing from the the Highlands.

John Prentice has been reported missing from Balintore in Easter Ross.

The 64-year-old was last seen on Friday, May 19 around 12.30pm in the area.

He is described as being 5ft 2, of stocky build with long grey hair.

He is thought to be wearing black jogging bottoms and a navy t-shirt with white writing or a picture on it.

He may also have a bright orange zip-up jacket with him.

It's believed he could also be driving a blue Seat Alhambra car – a seven seater people carrier with the registration SY17VEK.

Inspector Graham Brown said: “John’s family haven’t heard from him and are becoming very concerned for his welfare.

“I would ask anyone who has seen or spoken to him, or if John himself sees this appeal, to please make contact with local officers.”
