Police attended a crash on the A82 near Drumnadrochit.

A car and a lorry collided on the A82 south of Drumnadrochit earlier today with the occupants believed to have escaped injury.

Police Scotland said a further vehicle may have been involved in the accident, or a separate incident nearby, but were unable to confirm full details of the crash as officers who attended were unavailable.

The spokeswoman said: “All we can confirm at the moment is that, at around 3.30pm today, we were made aware of three vehicles being involved in road traffic collisions on the A82, around four miles south of Urquhart Castle.

“We have no reports of any injuries.”

Four Scottish Fire and Rescue units were sent to the scene after they received a call at 3:56 pm.

A spokeswoman said: “We mobilised three appliances and a heavy rescue unit to an accident near Allt Sigh by Loch Ness, but our stop message came in at 4.20 pm.

“There had been a collision between a lorry and a car, but police were in attendance and everyone was out of the vehicles when our crew members arrived.”
