A hunt for some cheeky elves delighted children of all ages in Inverness's Victorian Market over the weekend.

The market's annual Elf on the Shelf Hunt saw people checking out the popular shopping destination's various windows and displays for any of the cheeky wee elves who might be hiding away.

Each of the wee elves had their own name tag, and those lucky enough to spot them all were in with the chance of a tempting prize – one of two £50 Inverness City Centre Gift Cards.

All entrants had to do was post their completed entry in Santa's post box and keep their fingers crossed.

Those taking part in the free competition were also encouraged to keep their eyes open for "the real life Elf too"!
