The festive elf hunt promises fun for all the family.

A host of elves will be hiding themselves around the Victorian Market – with intrepid explorers challenged to find them on Friday and Saturday, December 2 and 3.

The Elf on the Shelf Hunt is a free event, where you can be on the lookout for the cheeky elves hiding in the shop windows of businesses within the market.

Participants can pick up an entry form from Elf HQ within the market, and then look out for each elf bearing its own name tag.

A life-sized elf will also be doing the rounds as well.

When you’ve found them all, post your form in Santa’s Post Box. All correct entries are entered into a prize draw to win one of two £50 Inverness City Centre Gift Cards.

Inverness BID administration and marketing manager, Margaret Laws said: “This is one of our favourite events as the kids (big and small!) get so excited finding all the elves.

“The ‘feel-good factor’ of having the market so busy with families getting a chance to spend quality time together to just have fun is always so lovely.

“It’s also a great opportunity for grown-ups to get some Christmas presents or ideas whilst they hunt and to support locally based businesses if they can.

“We are really looking forward to seeing our regular hunters and also hopefully welcoming lots of new faces too.”

BID staff will be on elf duty during the event to provide a welcome to those taking part.
