April dates at Eden Court in Inverness for the musical Waitress have been cancelled

Eden Court has announced that the company due to bring the musical Waitress to Eden Court in April have "made the difficult decision to cancel their Highland dates".

The theatre's box office apologises to those with tickets for the show which had been scheduled to be in Inverness from April 5-9 "for the short notice of the cancellation and the disappointment this news will bring".

Those with tickets are told someone from the box office will be in touch shortly about refunds and other options.

Chelsea Halfpenny had been due to star in the hit musical which is based on the 2007 film and tells of Jenna Hunterson, a baker and waitress who struggles with in an abusive relationship with her husband, Earl.
