Duo face charge of attempted murder in Inverness street

Two men have appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court following an alleged robbery in the Baron Taylor’s Street area in Inverness last week which hospitalised a man.

Nathan Hunter (31) and James Marshall (32), both from Inverness, made no plea to a charge of attempted murder and robbery.

Hunter also made no plea to a further accusation of police assault.

Hunter was allowed bail but Marshall was remanded in custody.

Police Scotland issued the following statement on Friday after the alleged incident at 1.10am that day and an area was cordoned off by police.
