Police were called to a house in Hilton housing estate in Inverness when a man got too drunk and began throwing things around the house.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard that officers met the distressed woman a short distance from her Morvich Way home on June 3, 2020.

Fiscal depute Victoria Silver told the court the woman said her partner, 39 year old warehouseman Andrew Chisholm had been drinking throughout the day and was causing damage in the house.

Chisholm, now of Oakwood Court, Inverness admitted threatening or abusive behaviour and was ordered to remain under social work supervision for six months.

A non harassment order preventing any contact with his partner was imposed for the same period.
