THE Post Office in Drumnadrochit looks set to relocate – and opening hours are to increase – under proposals announced on Thursday afternoon.

News of the proposed move was announced by the Post Office following the resignation of the existing postmaster at the Village Store and Tea Room.

However, Post Office Ltd has confirmed that a new postmaster has been appointed and the village Post Office looks set to relocate to the Great Glen Pharmacy in Lewiston, just a few hundred metres away.

When it does so it will offer an additional 10-and-a-half hours of counter service each week, with a serving point operating at the pharmacy's retail counter from 9am to 5.30pm on weekdays and from 9am to 1pm on Saturdays.

The site also has a car park with designated disabled parking bays.

The opportunity to give feedback will close on September 28. Customers can share their views during the consultation online at postofficeviews.co.uk with the branch code 113840.

Submissions can also be made via email to comments@postoffice.co.uk, by post to Freepost YOUR COMMENTS, or by telephone 03452 66 01 15 or textphone 03457 22 33 55.
