A 39-YEAR-OLD site inspector for an access company will lose his job and his tied house as a result of driving with an unsafe amount of cannabis in his system.

Jonathan Brown, of Millburn Road, was tested by police at School Brae, Croy, on December 4, 2019 and it proved positive for the drug.

His reading was 2.6mcgs of cannabis when the limit is 2mcgs.

Brown admitted at Inverness Sheriff Court drug-driving and was fined £270.

He was also banned from driving for 13 months.

Defence solicitor Mhyrin Hill said: “His licence is essential for his job which he will lose along with the house that goes with it.”
